Schionning Wilderness 1030

I acknowledge up front the 360 degree turn this involves from past posts BUT

I have seen a Wilderness that I quite like, for a variety of health reasons, a cat is my likely choice.

This wilderness is professionally built well fitted out etc etc. I can see nothing obviously wrong but a survey might tell.

She is a Schionning Wilderness 1030

We will use it for bay and east coast of Australia sailing mainly.

How does this design fit into that criteria, is it suitable, what are the pro's and cons?

Thanks

Re: Schionning Wilderness 1030

I actually like the wilderness the best of Schionnings designs, particularly when they get really long. The wilderness is a good load carrier and will perform almost as well as some of the skinnier boats. The 1030 usually only has one motor, which is no big deal except when tight marina berths may be an issue. There is a 930 on the market that is sweet little boat as well.

Make sure you get a surveyor that has multi experience.

Thanks factor

I did see the 930 and she looks nice, but might be a bit tight with 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 mid size dogs.

Would you agree
