Seawind 1000 steering cables

Hi all,
I’m new to the forum, my partner and I are currently looking at catamarans, we checked out a seawind 1000 recently that needs the steering cables replaced. As far as I can tell these cats seem pretty sensibly designed and relatively easy to work on but I’m wondering if anyone on here has experience with these cables and can let me know if it’s a straight forward job or a PITA. Any info appreciated.

Not sure about the Seawind ones, we have an FP Bahia and its not a particularly difficult job. The good thing is they can be jury rigged with rope etc if they break, a failed hydraulic system can be a much bigger problem!
At least if you replace them you could be confident of many years of trouble free service - and you can check all the pulleys and mounting points while you are at it.
