Seawind 1260 Dimensions?

Does anyone have the LxWxH dimensions of the Seawind 1260 home bank battery box? What about the length between the two sugar scoops? Thanks for anything you have!

Re: Seawind 1260 Dimensions?

I know there are a couple of 1260 owners on here, that should respond. We have a 2019 1160 Lite. I think the 1260 battery compartment is similar. It's under the settee, near the port forward window. At one time we had two Mastervolt 270 Ah AGM (Super 8D) batteries and a Mastervolt 130 Ah AGM in the compartment. (Note it is a compartment, and there is no "box".) We removed the two large AGM's and replaced with a single Mastervolt MLI Ultra 12-5000 (360 Ah). You can see how much space is left in that compartment.

Regarding space between the hulls, I assume you are thinking about dinghy? We are using a Highfield CL340 with 20 hp Tohatsu. I think some guys have 360's hanging from davits.

Hopefully with a 1260 will respond, but this should give you a rough idea of space in the meantime.

Thanks for the pics, sailjumanji! That’s exactly what I was wanting to see. I’ve been watching walkthroughs and no one ever takes the time to show the electrical systems. I plan on taking a tape measurer and notepad to the Miami International Boat Show.

Well the square box part of that compartment - again, on an 1160 - is 32.5 inches wide across the front by 29.5 inches deep. Then there is a further space along the right side - that you can the two batteries are shoved back into. That extends along the right side, about 5 inches deep, and 17.5 inches wide.

I don't remember if this is the same for the 1260.

We actually have 3 of the MLI Ultra 12-5000 batteries on board our 1260. I am a long way away from the boat right now so cannot measure but the factory had to modify the compartment to fit the third battery in. Spec boat has plenty of room for 2 x 400AH (newer model from Mastervolt with similar dimensions and weight to the 360AH battery).

Yeah. My understanding from Seawind and the Mastervolt tech rep is the 12-5000 is identical in all respects to the 12-5500, except for the sticker. Battery performed better than initial specs, so they subsequently updated spec.
