Re: Shipping a Gemini

FYI, that question was recently covered in a forum question...
"Transporting a 34' Boat from the East Coast to California"

Re: Shipping a Gemini

Performance Catamaran in Annapolis should have an exact figure, they build the boats and ship them all over.

Re: Shipping a Gemini

Last fall we bought our 02 Gemini 105MC in San Diago and paid $5600.00 to truck it to Portland OR but that was only 2 states to get permits in. I don't know about transporting across several states.

Re: Shipping a Gemini

Wow at that rate it would probably cost over 10,000 coast to coast. I used to sail a Cascade 29 that was built in Portland OR

Someone told me it was 8400.00 to FL.

Not exactly sure though.

Re: Shipping a Gemini

The price of the truckers disel is raising prices of transport along with each state's permits. At least your not trying to transport a 44 ft catamaran from the east coast to the west.

Re: Shipping a Gemini

Why not just sail it? Or hire someone to do so? Ah, hurricane season? Deck cargo on a larger vessel? Just throwing out ideas here.

Re: Shipping a Gemini

We paid about $9K to ship our Gemini 105M from Alabama to Seattle three years ago. My advice-- get multiple bids. Also, check the gemini website on yahoo groups at Gemini_Cats : Gemini Catamarans You'll find others have insight there too.
