Congrats CC
What design is it? The stern looks a lot like my Tennant 47 with its back "verandah".

Thanks everyone, we're very happy. Just got to stay away from the boat long enough to build a rig now...

Gee, maybe one day. There's a thread here: YACHT BUILDING CORNER :: View topic - SV ??????? mark 2 with a bit more info, but even then I didn't actually start posting 'till well into the build, so it jumps from a partly constructed hull to a near complete shell... I should do something for the designer, Bob Oram, he has been unbelievably helpful during the build.

Port a slip? Never heard of 'em! Nope, this was a backyard job all the way. Boat was launched from a trailer built from an old truck chassis, towed by a Nissan Patrol...

Thanks. I will take some pics of the interior now it's a bit tidy. Right up to launching we were still doing last minute jobs. There was still wet paint (on the inside) when she hit the water.

I'M HAPPY!

HUGE thank you to Bob Oram. Truly a great guy.

The design is an Oram 44C, but has the sheer height raised because I'm 2m tall, and the beam increased by 300mm.

Bob has incorporated these changes into a new design, the 48C, which will have considerably better carrying capacity, yet cost very little more to build.

I like Bob Oram designs. His boats are popular in the Hervey Bay / Maryborough area in Oz. Is that where you are? What is her name? I will keep an eye out for her as I intend to head to the Kimberleys up the east coast in April.

Your boat looks so sexy I almost hate to see a mast put on her. The boat is unique and so well thought out. The styling screams speed. I like the dual helms with winches located a hands length away. The dingy davit system is beefy. I also like the way the cabin top extends over the cockpit, like a Nautitech. Do you have an interior layout posted? I went through most of your pictures and didn't see one.

WOW! I knew she'd be pretty, but WOW! How proud you should be, what a wonderful achievement. I am VERY happy for you, my friend. Most people could never fathom the amount of work, the pure sweat and love that go into something of this magnitude, but several of us here do. Congratulations! OUTSTANDING CRAFTSMANSHIP!
