I don't waste time & money on a trip just because some "professional" is too lazy to do his job.

But thats just me. Its your business and you decide how you run it.

Exactly.
So for Intelmarine to actually have multiple listings it requires one or more sellers to have retained them.
What are the odds of a legit seller signing a listing agreement with a broker you can’t find on the net, makes it really hard for prospective buyers to learn about your boat, and fails to gain credibility within one of the larger online sailing communities? I think those odds are low.

I’m guessing Intelmarine could be the owner of all the catamarans that they advertise?

If intel marine is who i think it is, and i think it is. They have quite the reputation here for being unscrupulious. Unconcionably Selling boats thats should have been crushed. Your brokers advice is good. If it smells fishy, it probably stinks...

Maybe.
Another idea is they have good connections to the scrapyards used for chopping the write offs. Or the charter company. Or some insurance company. Or some lender / bank.

Whatever it is: The good deals were available right after the storms when the first insurance checks arrived. That was months ago but not today.

Anyway I don't like Intel's attitude so I don't care .

Re: Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

The hurricanes were a while ago. The good boats were picked over early. The insurance companies sold these wrecks off as soon as possible. The damaged boats have changed hands several times each. The only boats that are left now are marginal projects at best. Based on the fact that there is a sucker for every deal, they are still asking top dollar for boats that should probably be scrapped. Buyer beware. The boats that are still available have been looked at many many times and they still have not sold....there is a reason everyone else took a pass on these projects.

I know, right? Heck if the joker really had them available at that price I'd buy a couple just to flip!

Re: Storm damaged Bahamas Leopards – Warning

I spoke with a Moorings representative. He said that the boats were surveyed and deemed a Constructive Total Loss by the Moorings insurance company. The insurance paid out on the boats and then they were all sold for a small amount to a flipper. In addition to the obvious rigging damage, apparently these boats had significant delamination.

Total Constructive Loss = Delamination = "lightly damaged" = BS

I think that's enough said on this subject.

I am the director and owner of Intel Marine (which apparently doesn't even exist) which is responsible for selling the yachts. We have been in business since 1999 (and I'm sure you have the business cards to prove it!) and because you can’t google something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Seriously?!?
All you have to do is pick up the phone and call to know we are not a scam nor have any false claims. only proves you have a prepaid burner phone Or better yet you should visit the boats to see how they really are instead of make false presumptions. It’s an injustice to people who really want to buy themselves a wait a minute, you are advertising as "lightly damaged" and now they're PROJECT BOATS? project boat and save a bunch of money and enjoy the cruising life.
Feel free to call anytime. Just make sure to give your real name and be upfront as it seems the person posting the false posts have more to hide.
So be the voice of clarity and honest, and begin by posting YOUR name and affiliation to the boats. Also, be above board, and post pics of what you are actually trying to sell, not promotional pics from manufacturers websites.
Your method of selling is like using advertising pics of a brand new, or a fully restored Model A Ford and saying, "Hey, it could look like THIS!" Oh, and I have an original crate engine for $25.00 to replace the one that may or may not be in the car. Here's a pic of what a BRAND NEW engine looks in someone's else's car . . . just in case you will need help recognizing what it looks like when you come to look at the car!
We have a bunch of light damaged Catamarans for sale. If interested call us and see for yourself.
Note: Here's what your Model A could look like!

vs pic of what he is actually selling which you find out only after paying deposit and traveling to see it "somewhere in the Bahamas" . . . . and you STILL don't know the guys name!

I'm so sorry, but even over the internet your response positively REEKS of misdirection/deception/con . . . but of course I could be wrong . . . .

Oh, and I notice that having been in business since 1999, you just now . . . in May 2020 decided to join cruisersforum.com, one of the premier cruising forums out there . . . Did you know that you can sign up as a business and have more credibility?!? Oh, wait, that would mean that you would have to at least be able to be searchable on google, bing, Yandex, ccsearch, duckduckgo, onesearch, wiki, ekoru, twitter, slideshare, etc, NONE of which have heard of your company . . .

Limpet, they are still here. May have been a hiccup in the space-time continuum.
