Tacking Angles on a Perry 43?

COVID-permitting, I’ll be chartering a Perry 43 in a few weeks’ time.
My first time skippering a cat.

What sort of tacking angles should I expect?

Hoping to sail as much as possible, even into the wind!

One factor on all sailboats is the condition and design of the sails. When we replaced our sail with new cruising sails we were amazed at how much closer we could point, if we had gone with performance sails I’ll bet it would be a notch closer to the wind.

Charter boat so I’m guessing the sails won’t be in best condition.

I’ll just have to wait and see.

Surprised nobody with personal experience has chimed in. Quite an old mini keel design based on extended Grainger 40 and there's been plenty of those around for years.
I would be totally guessing that you might realistically tack through 100 or so degrees by compass and then add leeway?

Taught a mate to sail his Perry 43. They are a good boat with ok upwind performance (mini keel cruiser). Really well behaved in a sea and can get along decently if kept light. Sails are the critical factor for upwind but NevilleCat is pretty close to the mark for offshore.

Sailed more than a few Perry 43. If bottom clean - sails good and not overloaded, then they are pretty good, better than most Lagoons, FPs,Leopards and on par with Lightwaves and Seawinds, all thngs being equal with regard bottom and sail and load.
