Re: The Constant Camber Crowd

Sorry for the continuous photo dump. I couldn't figure any other way of doing it.

Eager for more multi-hull sailing and cruising performance stuff.....

Doesn't have to be Constant Camber necessarily. Just relevant multi-hull cruising info.

Cheers,

SnJ

Don't be sorry, you gave me what i was screaming for. i loved it. Thanks. Here is my website: hughes38.com – Hughes 38 Owners Group that i built when i was looking for a mono. Under "Commodores Other Boats" you will find pics of the boat that i built back in the 70's

Re: The Constant Camber Crowd

Very nice!!

I have always admired William Atkins work. They are excellent cruising boats. There was a youngster in the yard this summer that owned an ERIC. Handy fella. He replaced a few planks. Caulked her up, tossed her in the water and took off.

VIXEN was a standout as well....

Fun stuff....

Interesting - any more details on how "that" is holding up? Doing charters? Looking seaworthy or like she needs work? She was in Rio Dulce and looking like she may have had a heavy layer of glass put over everything 10(?) years ago.

Great photos. Getting this far is a tremendous accomplishment. The New Hampshire winter will prolong the finish, but man, you're getting close. Keep at it.

Not to steal your thread as much as give some encouragement---

While I'd love to see you boat next spring, I hope we're through the Panama Canal well before then. At the moment, both rebuilt motors are working along with HO alternators. The SSB is finally doing it's job. AIS and InReach are working. The plan is to get fuel and last minute provisions, and head over to Hampton from Cape Charles on Saturday, hang with the Salty Dawgs for a few days, and head south. We plan to bounce off of Antigua, perhaps the ABCs for a bit, and then into the Pacific. We'll be looking for you in a year or so

Cheers,

That boat sailed very nicely and we both turned in 210-220 mile days on the crossing from Mexico to French Polynesia. You have to have a lightweight mentality, but it would be hard to find a nicer general-purpose trimaran for cruising.

I think they've mostly swallowed the anchor, and I've heard rumors the boat may be up for sale soon. A good picture and a bit of write-up of their last long cruise in Latitude 38. Such a sweet boat.
Thanks for the interesting read. i just reread it for the second time. Helps keep up my sanity on a cloudy winter day.

Re: The Constant Camber Crowd

For those with the interest in CC and not in building - Redwood Coast II is now on the market. You'll have to come up with some coin, but a very nice boat (and I have no interest other than seeing a nice boat go to a nice home).

Don't know how long this link will work, but so far their only advertising is in Latitude 38:
