I crossed the Gulf of Mexico, from Caicos to the Dominican Republic, and was over 200 miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean from Florida and inland to St. John. The only downside to Gemini's is the "bridge slap" in rougher seas.. but more a noise problem than anything else. They do handle well as long as you are practicing good seamanship.

There are Gems all over Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

You can say that again! I was anchored next to one during a front. The banging was so loud I don't know how those in the boat could stand it. I was about 120 feet away and I couldn't stand it.

Vasco,

I hear you. I always wondered why Tony Smith (the designer of the Gemini 105 MC) does not simply install a "V" shaped centerpod under the bridgedeck like you see on the Lagoon Catamarans. I suppose there would have to be sea trails on that to see if it is really worth doing.
