Re: Up date on my repairs,

and a few more,
I am replacing all the wiring in the mast, It had been hit by lightning in the past,
So the wind speed didnt work, It had a burnt out wire in the mast,
It pays to shop around, My Mast head light got broken getting it down off the boat.
I paid just under $100-00 for the new one delivered, From USA, here the same light costs start at $240-00 but I have seen the same light for over $700-00,
Mainly around the $ 240-00 mark here, Considering its a plastic tube with two globes in it,
Do the prices of boat items fluctuate wildy,

Re: Up date on my repairs,

Here's some more piccys of the work done,
Rod Paredes of JRB Marine in Yaringa Marina, Victoria Australia is doing the work,
I am very impressed with his work, He has done an excellent job,
The hulls are beefed up from original so I can sit safely on a sandy beach with the tide out,
The stiffeners run full length,
Couple of months and it will be back in the water,

Re: Up date on my repairs,

Always good to see a boat getting put back together, & better than new no less. Happy for you, & impressed by your sticking with it.

Re: Up date on my repairs,

A few more piccys, One floor is back in, Looks Awesome,

Rod Paredes is the Tradesman, JRB Marine is the company,

He is a thinker and is applying it to my boat,
I am very impressed with his capability, and it is obvious in his work,
You can see how far the repairs have been on the sides of the boat,
2/3rds of the hulls have been replaced,
It will be back in the water very soon,
The stress has been incredible to me, But Im glad its nearly over and I can go sailing again,

Re: Up date on my repairs,

Brilliant! Looking forward to hearing you launch.
I know your pain well having done an onerous rebuild.

(That was a while ago at Musket cove, eh!)

Sept 2011 at Musket Cove, Its been a while,
If the first repairer had of done his job instead of ripping people off, It would have been done years ago,

Its happening now, So Im happy about that,

Cheers, Brian,

Re: Up date on my repairs,

A few piccys of my rudders that were broken when the Boat was dropped during salvage,
One had a bent shaft which I had to split the two halves to straighten the shaft,
I am almost there, But I am happy with the progress of it,
The first lot of Resin would not go off, Old Resin, been in the shop too long, so I had to rip it all out and start again,
