Wanted early/mid 2018 L440 / L450 w/offshore credentials

Greetings all, new to the board but have been sailing my whole life. While I currently own an offshore proven and set-up Jeanneau 43 DS, my family size of 5 (2+3 not so little kids) is starting to feel a bit small for what we would like to be 2 to 5 years of cruising the Caribbean, Europe/Med, and possibly south pacific, etc.. We feel like we want more space and comfort while at anchor and exploring that we could not get with a mono-hull.

I wanted to get this message out to what I hope are many people who own our target sailboat model/length currently on adventures in far away lands but planning or contemplating the timing for completing their tours. While we could buy new or slightly used, the majority of those vessels require significant effort to prepare for a safe long-range passage. There are sporadic offerings that come up from time to time and of course I will be keeping an eye out for those.

Our preference therefore based on our somewhat flexible and long-term time frame of planning is to seek out people who are looking ahead at 2018 to sell their Lagoon. We want an L450F but we may be flexible towards an older L440F.

It can be challenging to find the right buyer who values the myriad of equipment and spares that it takes to ensure safe long-range passage making. We are hoping to find the right situation where a thorough hand-off and understanding of the vessel/systems can be completed as part of a sale.
