Water in keel - Fountaine pajot Saona 2018

Hi Cruisers,

Our boat was lifted out of the water 7 days ago. When putting the boat back in the water I noticed that there was water leaking from one of the keels. When feeling the bottom of the keel the antifouling wasn't also dry there. The hulls and keels have been moister tested while it was out, and everything was okay.

This is a Fountaine Pajot 2018. I know that FP has a patented keel which is not part of the hull.

How bad is this?
Cause and solution?

Thank for the feedback in advance.

There is nothing to worry as far as you have the sacrifical keels like the ones on FP's. Theşir keel is filled with polurthane foam coverd with a thing GRP. They don't have any structural role and are made intentionally weaker to be sacrificed in case you hit somewhere.

Cheers

Although it is probably not a safety issue, it could be. Where is the water coming from? Could there be a crack between the bilge and keel that could allow bilge water into the keel? I would want to find out where the water is coming from.
