Water in Sugar Scoop Lazarettes Perry 43

Hi,

On the Perry 43 on the sole of the Sugar Scoop Lazarettes there are two wooden lift out sections. Underneath this is a bilge where the engine exhaust is routed overboard. In both port and starboard sugar scoops, this bilge is full of water almost up to the wooden sections.

Is this normal?

Thanks
Jeff

How watertight do the "two wooden lift out sections" appear?

If you don't want to stick your tongue in bilge water use a multimeter, there are other ways to tell just google it.
