Where can I haul out my 30' beam in Baja Mexico?

Marina Guaymas (across the bay from the Fonatur marina) can only haul an 18' beam, but the shrimp boat yard next door hauls large multis for them.

It's a dirt lot, but likely the least expensive you will find anywhere and a good ways north, though storms reach it on occasion. Owners regularly work on their boats. The yard can provide workers, as well. We used to live in our van next to the boat while working on it, but the pandemic brought on new rules against living on or next to boats and limiting work to a couple days before and after splash and haul out - hopefully only for the duration of the pandemic.

It's not for everybody, but great for budget-minded DIY'ers who can live a little rough and cope with the dirt. Quite a social life in fall and spring. It's less than 6 hours from the border now that the Hermosillo bypass is open. Closest big airport is Hermosillo.
