Where in Florida or the Bahamas?

Florida or Bahamas? … Looking to tie up for a couple of years in Florida or Bahamas. What marina should I use to sail from, and for some protection from weather. I’d prefer not to have a car, so maybe close to a small (or large) town. I have a 46’ x 44’ trimaran, and I have 4 choices … Tampa Bay, Orlando, Miami, or Nassau. I’m a Southern Cal guy, and don’t know much about Florida or the Bahamas. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Mike.

You could probably moor here...Miami Marinas Coconut Grove is a great place to sail out of.

However, I only know one place a tri would be safe in a hurricane and I am putting my tri there!

Orlando has the best weather protection from hurricane. Not great sailing though as it's 60 miles inland.
