12 volt hydraulic motor for bow thruster

Does anybody have a bow thruster that is powered by an electric 12 volt hydraulic pump?

I currently have a bow thruster for my boat that is powered by mechanical hydraulic pump attached to an old 20kw genset via a reducer (I guess slowing down the RPMs).

I would like to remove the dependency of the generator without having to replace the whole system.

I am trying to find 12 volt pumps but not sure of the specs I am looking for like GPM and HP of the motor needed (if I need to buy motor separate from the pump). So if anybody can give me the specs they have for their boat that will give me a frame of reference to search for.

I do know that the system has a max of 3,000 psi and that is all. Come to think of it, all I really need is an 12 volt electric motor that will mount to the existing pump but once again, no idea the HP of motor or RPMs needed to reach the GPM and PSI to run a bow thruster on a 55ft (54,000 #) boat.

I think the motor needed in 12 volts would be huge in size and expense.
Why not put a hydraulic pump on your main engine? If you're using the thruster, the main is probably running.

Is that what most do? Does it attach to the front crankshaft pulley?

I am pretty clueless when it comes to bow thrusters.
