2gmf wrong lower thermostat housing?

I noticed a crack in my 2gmf thermostat housing after installing the correct temp sensor, (a non freshwater one was there before). I figured I would order a new one but am confused after looking at the parts manual for a part number. My thermostat housing has a opening for a sensor and there is another port for one sensor on the lower housing (where I assume a sensor for a gauge currently is). The issue is that the lower thermostat housing in the manual shows 2 ports with none on the upper thermostat housing. Has anyone seen this before?

Be aware that Yanmar do change their parts over the years and you need to match the parts book to the serial number which isn't always that easy unless you have access to the full range of parts manuals that presumably are available to their dealers.

Additionally Yanmar use some different parts for the same series engine in different parts of the world. Raw water pumps and hoses being a common variation.
