3GM30FC fuel lift pump

Goo Day. I have to replace the fuel lift pump for Yanmar 3GM30FC. The boat is in Spain, Malorca. Local dealers are on fiestas. Contacted possible alternative. The guy advise two models: one number 129301-52020 price 127,5 euros. Thecsecond one model 128270 price 453 euros. Such a small pump, such a big difference. How to judge, which Will fit mine. And, Fridayspart asking for the same 129301-52020 Just USD 33...plus shipping. How it possible?

It must be shipping and tariffs. I searched for the same part in the US, and I found many for 30-40 USD. None came up more than 80USD, and that was only when I went on Amazon.

The first number looks like a typical Yanmar part number.
I recommend that you contact your Yanmar dealer for the correct information although tomorrow is Good Friday around the world therefore you may have to make a long distance 'phone call or two.
Good luck and happy sailing.

Well, it is a vital piece to the engine. Better safe than sorry. A little extra on the front end might save you a bunch of hassle on the back end.

The pumps come off easily - two nuts and two hoses.

Once off, you can disassemble them with 6 (I think) screws. Typically the internal diaphragm has a rip, is so, you can get going for a few days with a condom in place of the rubber piece.

if the check valves are jammed open with dirt, soak them in petrol and clean them out - good as new.

Re: 3GM30FC fuel lift pump

The massive difference in price is genuine yanmar part & aftermarket part. The alternative is to fit a 3-5psi 12v fuel pump & blank off the hole in the block for the mechanical.
I have no experience with the aftermarket mechanical pumps but of course the Yanmar dealer will recommend the genuine Yanmar one, waaay more profit in that.
All the aftermarket parts I have tried have been excellent but others I know have had bad results with starter motors.

Re: 3GM30FC fuel lift pump

My pump is broken-craked body and, the motor loosing oil via this stream. Yes, it easy disassembled. Both models 129301-52020(the cheaper one for 130 euros) and 128270-52010(for 450 euros) are offered by Yanmar dealers, advising "your motor needs the expensive one". The question to society is:if any one have seen this 128270-52010 fuel lift pump and if there is any mechanical advantages for the motor?

There is no mechanical advantage for the motor. I can tell you that pump is used on lots of different Yanmars, only the actuating arm is different on our YSM8. Just check the actuating arm is the same in Ebay pic

Here is a cheaper version https://www.ebay.com/itm/17389908926...UAAOSwF2tfl7Fr

As I said earlier you can just cover the hole in the block with a blanking plate & use a 12v fuel pump available from any auto parts store if you want a quick fix whilst you wait for a mechanical pump. I prefer mechanical pumps but cars go a long time with electric pumps. You want the low pressure type.

Compass, we shall go this way(Electric pump) , due to replacement is stalled in Italian customs. How Many bars pressure needed 3GM30? One or three bars?

3-5 psi or 0.3 bar roughly is all you need but I guess 1 bar would work too.
