4JH oil at air filter

Our Yanmar 4JH with about 1,300 hours is weeping a bit of oil out of the air filter.

Just a few drops.

Any thoughts? Is this indicative of something sinister? No big deal?

As long as it's not blowing excessively not to worry. Just oil vapors venting from the breather pipe.

Not a big thing to worry about. The carter is connected to the air intake to burn the - oil saturated- air breathing out of the carter. Some drips can go "upstreams" and finish there where you found them.
