6hp Tohatsu Skipping in gear

I have a new Tohatsu 6hp with about 50 hours on it. Recently it has started skipping when in gear and above idle speed. It gets worse the higher the rpm. I have emptied my gas to check for water. There was a little. But since switching it has been doing the same thing. Any suggestions. Doing some remote cruising so can’t take it anywhere

If you had water in gas, you need to clean the carburetor. Numerous videos on YouTube on how to clean the carb.
