71 27 HP pieces isuzu

I have a 27 horse Isuzu Pisces that showing 70 lb of oil pressure. Someone told me to locate oil pressure release valve does anyone know where it may be found on this particular motor

It's probably just down stream from the oil pump. Look for a bolt head with a flange, threaded in near the pump, with no obvious structural role.

Wecome to the forum Captain 2014,
Is that 70lb oil pressure when its cold?
Has it changed recently?
Reason I ask the questions is that its not uncommon to have much higher oil pressure when cold especially if you use a monograde oil.
Need to know air temp & oil viscosity before you know iF there is a problem.
A normal engine will show very different oil pressures at -5oC & plus 30 oC on startup if it has SAE40 mono oil.
EG. a marina neighbour has 80lb on startup at 4oC but goes to 55psi after 45
min cruising.
I wouldn't worry about pressure relief v/v if u r sweeping snow off yr decks before leaving dock until you check after say 1hr runtime.
