Yes, we were thinking of adding that, too. However, some people (read: potential customers) might ask you: what if the flow meter blocks the flow? After all, it's only a small impeller as well, even after the strainer it might get algae/biofilm over time...

EGT sensors, on the exhaust risers.

Re: Additional engine temperature monitoring suggestions

You do not need to collect data or plot trends. What you really need is instantaneous alarms/alerts to shut down in the event of failure, overheat, intake clog, exhaust failure, impeller self-destruction. i recently had the plastic bag from a bag of ice (some clown must have filled his fish box and tosssed it overboard) get wrapped around my outboard motor lower unit while running out the inlet. Luckily I glance at the outboard pee tube regularly and noticed it stopped flowing.

Have not seen a "pee tube" on a Yacht yet...
