Anti siphon valve needed?

I recently redid all my fuel lines to my engine. Some research on the subject indicates I may need to add an anti siphon valve to my system.

Boat is a Jeanneau 42DS. Diesel tank is below the level of the engine, however, the lines from the tank do pass below the top of the tank on route to the engine fuel pump. This is as per the original design of the manufacturer.

According to USCG regulations, I believe there should be an anti siphon valve on the tank. (In case the fuel line happened to break at the that point below the top of the tank)

However, all the valves i find are specified for gasoline engines. Sized for either below 200hp or above 200hp. Mine is a small 60hp diesel.

Any thoughts on if this is actually a requirement?

Re: Anti siphon valve needed?

Anti siphon valves are not required by USCG for diesel installations.
