Replace and increase the I.D. of the vent line while you're at it. Spiders need to move on.

If you cut the tank out be extremely careful if you decide to use grinders/cutting wheels. The vapors in the tank will still be very explosive.

WRT vapors, if you crush up some dry ice and drop it into the tank, the CO2 will displace any air as the ice "melts", making it safer to cut.
