Query: In this case, is the 2 inch diameter in the outlet fitting small enough to act as a limiting orifice at these flow rates? If so, the diameter of the hose downstream will not have a big effect on backpressure in the exhaust manifold itself, I should think.

Further, many exhaust systems have a tall loop near the outlet. Mine for instance, has a rise of over two feet. Seems that this height will have an effect on back pressure as well.

Lots of complicating factors... so an experimental measurement seems called for.
