Defective Volvo MD11c - strandet in West Palm Beach

Hi,

I just learned that German Sailors Cati & Johannes (http://www.zu-zweit-auf-see.de/) are stranded in West Palm Beach.

Their old Volvo MD11c made a lot of troubles on the journey from Germany via the Caribbean to the US and seems to be dead right now ... Lost quite some oil on the last hours and will not start any longer.

Is there a forum member in the area who has experience with this Volvo and could have a look?

Someone knows where to find a replacement if all goes bad?

Thanks! I passed this on to Johannes. He took his motor apart and found a defective cylinder head gasket that he will replace later this week.

If there are more problems he will probably follow your lead.
