Desicant Breather Like H2Out on Valve cover vent

Nigel Calder mentions using a desiccant, like H2Out, on the fuel vent to decrease moisture levels in diesel tanks.


Would there be any value to using a vent like this on the valve cover vent OR is there not that much condensation that develops?

My estimate, and it's only gut level, is that in a heated (by the engine) engine compartment there is not going to be enough condensation to make this worthwhile. I think that if it were a problem, there would be numerous threads on the forum regarding ways to deal with it, or modern engines would come equipped for it.
