Do you know if I can add oil temp and pressure like this too?
Should be M18*1.5 too for the sensor but are there mounting holes additional available to the Volvo Oli pressure switch?
No for oil is on left size of engine you must use lathe and make from steel adapter. this is close where is oil filter. you remove now in engine oil sensor switch buy new oil pressure sensor and make adapter from steel to connect this 2 sensor on one spot.

adapter is similar this but larger and on side is this pressure switch on top is pressure sensor

I have a new D2-50F engine. I use a mechanical coolant temp and oil pressure gages from Marshall instruments. They are 2 5/8" gages and very easy to read.

How did you connect the oil pressure sensor to the engine?

I used a "Tee". I removed the oil sender, threaded the Tee into the block, threaded the sensor into the tee and the line to the gage into the other leg of the tee. Remember to "sleeve" the copper oil line with vinyl tubing to absorb vibration.

Re: Display coolant temp Volvo D2-50F

I'm following above info exchange, but I do have a D2-55C, however same EVC, MDI thing. I also bought the KUZ temperature gauge although the VP sensor is installed in our engine. OK it is easy to connect a VP temperature gauge to the existing cables (plug&play) next to the MDI start panel, but on our engine the temperature sensor (sticking out just above the alternator) is not connected to anything. Is there a special cable to connect it to the MDI box / cables?

Preferably I would like to connect the sensor to the MDI and buy an original VP temperature gauge. In this way, when I switch on the engine, the sensor switches on as well. But then I have to connect the sensor itself to anything, but to what?

If I go for the KUZ option, my sensor has two contact-pins. The gauge needs only one? Which one to use?

Thanks.

This is why I went with simple mechanical gauges.

Additionally I installed the gauges so when the temperature and oil pressure are normal both indicating needles are pointing straight up. It only takes a glance at the instruments to know all is normal. I really don't have to read the gauge's.
