Electric longtails

I found this dinghy propulsion unit on a youtube video, it seems like a really good solution to the small outboard motor issue.
Easy to store, lightweight, fits practically any tender or canoe and re chargeable, hopefully using solar power. Has anyone on the forum used or seen one of these things in action other than on a youtube vid?

Re: Electric longtails

I picked up one of those in a bar once, but she won't row at all. I have to do it myself. As you say, she is lightweight, fits any tender and loves to recharge in the sun.
