Gunner,

Wow, we paid $12500 for my Westerbeke 64A, it is a 2005 model. I wonder what my engine would have been at wholesale... So far the engine is performing well, and we really like it, hope it serves us well.

Wow, that hurts... How do you get wholesale, although for me it is a little late...

I worked every angle that I could think of to try to get my new Generator wholesale but I just could not do it. I did get the best price from Pat Never monday.

Getting an engine wholesale, if it was possible, while getting a break on the price, might lead to less than acceptable customer support.

As Pat said, careful shopping and supporting your local "good guy" is the way to go.

I am honored when a customer refers to me as "my mechanic".

But, you can save money...if you put a little sweat into it yourself.....making the area more accessible......that means getting stuff out of the way in lockers, and if there is anything in the engine compartment that may get in the way, take it out......also a little PB Blaster or the like on rusted nuts and bolts can save time and is appreciated.
