epropulsion delays?

Hello, new guy here. I bought the e-propulsion Pod drive 3.0 for a sailboat I'm building and the motor controller has been backordered for six months now (from Liquid Surf and Sail). Thankfully I bought it early enough that I might get the parts by the time I'm ready to install them. I'm worried about the battery delays though... Does anyone know of a dealer that has the E175 battery in stock (or normally stocks it)?

If you have ordered an epropulsion battery (E40/E80/E175) how long did it take to get it?

Thanks

Re: epropulsion delays?

Welcome to the forum, Electric.

My impression is that the problem is back at epropulsion, not at the dealer. Stocking items that expensive could really strain a dealership.

It's speculation, but in the general case be aware that shipping containers are piling up in ports because the United States isn't moving them out, due to a shortage of drivers and trucks. That's a national shortage - at the moment, my area can't get the oxygen it needs to hospitals faced with the covid surge because there are not enough CDL drivers to move the tanks.

Re: epropulsion delays?

So I went ahead and ordered the battery... in other news the extra rails for my rail saw shipped after a four month delay. Hopefully I get on the water next season.

Re: epropulsion delays?

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Re: epropulsion delays?

So there ended up not being any delay for the battery or charger. And the motor controller finally arrived some five months after it was ordered. Good thing I ordered stuff over a year in advance.
