EVO Navy 6.0 electric outboard experiences?

With the dramatic decrease in the cost of drop in LFP batteries, we are considering ditching the 6 hp outboard on our smaller sailboat (a Montgomery 17) and going with a EVO Navy 6.0 electric outboard. The reason I want such a big motor is I may use it as a backup on our larger sailboat which is already electrified with a 48 volt inboard electric motor/battery system.

While not the right solution for a lot of people, we have enjoyed the quiet aspect of electric propulsion when we cannot raise sails. it is a very very rare case on our little Montgomery that we have had to motor for more than a couple of hours. Most trips the motor is on for maybe 30 minutes max.

I was looking at the $265 Li time 12.8V 100ah batteries with low temp cutoff (what they call a trolling motor battery) and at 24 pounds each, four of those would be a lower weight in our M17 than the two existing 68 pound Lifeline AGM. This would give us about 5000wh in a 48 volt system. We could probably upgrade that to a 10000wh system and still be fairly svelte.

The Navy 6.0 isn't cheap, so I wanted to know of experiences with it if any of you have used one on your tender or whatever. Thanks!
