I do not know about your particular engine , but I had FNM HPEP190 and last couple of years I have FNM HPEP 250 with MerCruiser Bravo Three X Diesel, can not be more happier, working as a dream.

Re: FNM AM 60 ENGINE

Hi Doug, I flooded the engine with raw water, caught it pretty quickly. Got all of the water out. Then got it restarted. I couldn't get a FNM oil filter so I used one of the Yanmar filters I had left from the old engine. It ran beautifully. We were already to sail off into the blue yonder. My wife checked the oil level and it was full of water. Only the crankcase, not the pots. I pumped all of the gunk out and turned it over with new oil and pumped it out. There was a pin hole in the oil cooler at the filter housing. Hopefully soldering that up today. Then I need to get the correct oil filter.
Ive had a radiator tester on it all night and it dropped 8lbs pressure.
Do you know where I can source a filter? THT Perth don't have them and the number the CMD factory sent me doesn't cross reference with any Aussie book.
So I need a oil filter before I try anything else.

Cheers
Brett

Re: FNM AM 60 ENGINE

Hi again Doug,
I forgot to mention that the engine is new but has been sitting around for a few years.
Cheers

Re: FNM AM 60 ENGINE

Ryco filter web site has section where you can put filter dimensions and a match is selected. Alfa Romeo, Fiat & Saab use the turbo version of the engine in passenger & commercial applicaions. I am surprised to learn THT do not stock Filters.

"expensive mooring blocks".... you flooded it with a water and now it is engine fault.
