Gearbox oil black...problem?

The boat builder installed the engine and all related equipment. I just had assumed that it’s been done correctly. Will be interesting to figure this out, hopefully quickly as the yard gets back to work after summer holiday!

Well that's good. I don't get that kind of peace of mind with my 40 year old boat. All of the mistakes on this old tub are very much of my own making.

It will be interesting to find out what has happened. It might simply be a faulty gearbox, surely not the first in history, but if the builder did set the gear cable wrong they will be a bit unhappy with themselves, that's for sure.

Please do report back on the outcome.
