Globe Impellers

Has anyone had any problems with Globe impellars, Two out of the last three have failed, due to spinning on the bushing!

Join the club!! I spun a few myself.. They have also apparently changed the formulation and some are complaining of cracked vanes at less than a seasons use...

I went back to stock impellers as the Globes are quite over-rated IMHO..

I had major problems with blue "run dry" globe impellers on both my main propulsion diesel and my diesel generator.

They were too flexible to maintain the seal that was necessary for the lift. I discovered this by taking off the pump. You could blow air in one side an have it come out the other.

When I returned to the "standard" Jabsco impellers all was well again.

There an overhyped piece of junk.

I had 3 of those fail in the same way 6-8 years ago (my old Westerbeke 30 which I do not miss at all!!!) - While thy replaced the first 2, it became clear to me that this was not a good choice for reliable motoring.
