Honda BF20D outboard help

I can't seem to find the carburetor on my electric outboard.

Finally got my Honda working as expected. I bought a can of carb cleaner, took off the carburetor and cleaned all the passages, per the carburetor manual. Put it all back in and it runs as expected. 45 minute job.

I need to set the idle to the specified 900 rpm, but do not have a tool yet.

No amount of additives will remove or ‘fix’ ethanol gas. Problem with ethanol is after its absorbed the water and turned to varnish the fuel is now unstable and more prone to precognition and possibly engine damage at higher rpm. You can run octane boosters but it’s best dump the old ethanol gas and keep that crap out of your tanks.

Good to hear you got it running. I do use a racer s3227 with the clear bowl. I turn it over when I pump the ball and crack open the drain to purge any air in the line. They make filters with a primer purge on top that might work well
