Hose from oil "gear housing/oil reserve" to injector pump

Anyone know what this hose does?
Engine is 3jh2 yanmar

Sure looks like a crank breather to me. I’ll bet it either doesn’t actually go to the injector pump, or your injector pump has an independent sump.

Where is the other end? Does air pulsate put of it when the engine is running? Is there the normal breather on top of the valve cover that connects to the air intake?

sorry...the pic is not from my engine...mine is disassambled...and sorry for bad title...it does not go to the injector pump...dont know where it should go


but...interesting u say...there is no breather on top of the head. just a plate with two bolts..

I vote for a crankcase breather as well. It originates from a housing that looks like a PVC valve and the far end should end up somewhere in/on the inlet manifold.
