Re: I Got A Volvo 2003 Turbo Any Advice

Hi delcrest,
I can't answer your question for you as I have a mono and I know nothing about 'sail drives', but if you do change the motors, then you will have no problems selling off the old ones as parts. From what I can gather, most people with a 2003 series, if they have to replace the engine they don't put a Volvo back in. I certainly wouldn't, not unless I was given one.

The 2000 series is a Volvo block. A Yanmar 3YM is a fairly straight forward replacement. No knowledge on the Saildrives, but if they are the same age as the 2003 and you are putting in new engines, then plan on new saildrives.
