Modern compact car diesel engines. 1500 cc and 80 hp. Less than a gallon an hour at 30 to 40 hp. Needs a heat exchanger. Marine engines are way behind the times all of a sudden, and too much invested to change quickly. Getting emergency breakdown coverage a hundred miles off-shore might be a problem though.
