Is Yanmar 3gm30 a 4.0 L engine?

My boat has a Yanmar 3gm30 diesel. I'm buying a portable jump starter and it says it's good for "4.0 L diesel engines". I have no idea whether this is a 4.0 L(iter?) engine. It's 27 hp. Can anyone help me with this conversion?

4.0 Liter refers to the volume displaced by the pistons as they move. A 27HP is a small fraction of 4.0 liters. Your engine is likely something between 1.0 and 1.5 liters.

That engine is .954 litres. Call it a one lite engine I guess.

Your Yanmar is probably a lot less than four litres swept volume--so you will have no problems with that starter. My Yanmar 30 is a later model--it is less than 1.4 litrres.
