The first question is do you have a reliable source of parts for this engine. If not you are done.

The second step is to get a price for everything except case, crank, flywheel, head and maybe valve cover and heat exchanger. That includes pistons, rods, oil pump & regulator, the entire valve train and all the accessories.

Then get prices on them just in case.

You will find the sum of parts exceeds the price of a new engine.
