Isuzu QD60

I've searched the web for info on this marine engine. A few threads on this forum discuss Isuzu engines in general and characterize them as near bullet proof, long lasting motors. So far, I haven't found anything on this specific model. Can anyone point me in the right direction to learn about this engine, and the availability for replacement parts?

I have a Isuzu c240 installed in my boat and it's a tight little engine, very quite and balanced . when I purchased my boat it had a c240 in it had 33k hours on the meter still ran but ran only on its own motor oil. Came across a brand new crate motor for $1500. I have also seen this engine refered to as a qd60 I think. Not sure if it's a newer style?

Parts can sometimes be hard to source but I have good luck by going to Auto zone and ordering parts for the Isuzu pup truck diesels.

It's very underpowered for my 30 ton boat but I would highly recommend it for a smaller boat

Islander53...Thanks for your reply. This motor is attached to a 12 ton steel cutter, rated at 60HP. Should be enough to push vessel around. Would just like to find more info about its reliability as a marine engine, and parts availability.
