Larger Heat Exchanger for Perkins 4-108

Lenco offers an oversized exchanger specifically for the 4-108. Had one for years and it work great.

There isnt much that I can do to help you at this time, except to show you what I did years ago. It worked well for me and also for Wainui who purchased the unit from me. Bottom line is that the rear mount HE which was supplied as standard from Perkins was undersized for warmer water areas, especially after a small amount of deterioration from fouling, pump wear, etc. As I mentioned above, the original HE had a 9" long tube bundle and the one I had made was 12 " long....almost 1/3 more cooling capacity. And that solved the problem.

Probably your best bet is to contact a HE supplier and have something made for you. Others here have mentioned Lenco with success, and there are others such as SenDure, Monitor, San Juan....
