Do order some correctly sized O-rings from an O-ring supply place, once you have the kit in your hands. Useful to have a whole selection aboard.

Glad you did it right and did not try to just glom some sealant on it that may have gotten into the system and made matters worse.

Small hydraulic systems are pretty simple and usually only require a few specialized tools.

I have essentially the same Capilano unit. It had a small leak around then wheel shaft a few years ago. Decided to just do a full rebuild as it was nearly 20 years old. Ordered the full kit, tore it down...and found it really needed nothing more than the oring around the wheel shaft.
