Lombardini injector service. What’s involved.

Lombardini FOCS series - 1404M in my case (1400cc, 4 cylinder, 40hp)
These have unit injectors, a tightly coupled cam-driven pump coupled to an injector, one for each cylinder. As far as I can see you can:
1. Adjust diesel flow to each injector so they are equal. Need to do this if injectors have been removed. Needs special measuring gear.
2. Adjust timing of each injector, by a (crude?) set screw that can slides in slot in a bar, the bar couples the 4 injectors, and is moved by the ‘throttle’
3. Testing of each injector once removed, spray pattern etc.
4. I have a feeling there is something else?? Not sure what.

Is any of this a DIY possibility? I’m interested in learning what’s involved, even if I pay for local distributor to do it. I believe there are not many engineers trained to do this, with experience!
Many thanks for any input.
