"Adventure of a Lifetime" for a marine Caterpillar mechanic (male/female). Join us in the crossing of the Pacific Ocean to the Tropical Islands of French Polynesia, leaving from Puerto Vallarta Mexico around mid April 2017.

We're offering a private cabin on a 89 ft power catamaran, food and drinks included, one way flight from Hiva Oa to Papeete, return flight from Papeete, Tahiti. The yacht has 4 crew aboard, captain, chef and two deckhands. Onboard opportunity to learn Celestial Navigation (book and sextant available). Estimated time to get to French Polynesia, approx. 3 weeks.

This is a chance to take a break from normal life and experience the the ocean. In return we ask you for technical support on the way in case needed. We have two well maintained and serviced 3406E 800 HP Caterpillars.

Don't limit yourself to a Cat mechanic. The 3406 is a very basic engine that anyone with mechanical skills can look after. Generally the other boat systems are what need the work on a passage.
