Md11c not reaching full speed

We have a Pearson 323 with a md11c volvo.just had the injectors serviced. Reinstalled and now it won't reach over 2000 rpms. It will go up when in neutral, just not in gear. Any ideas would be of great help.

Welcome to the forum, Alysiam.

Everything else being OK, such as your engine is not smoking, the most obvious source would be too large a pitch on your prop.

Given that you have not changed props, my next bet would be that the injection pump/injectors are too lean, such that you are not getting enough fuel into the cylinders for full RPM under load.

Let's hear whether the real engine gurus on the forrum have some more ideas.

Thanks. My husband doesn't think it's the injectors, but has a sneaking suspicion that it's the injectors pump. How can we test that?
