Mechanical pull stop for diesel engine

Hello forum! I have a small diesel in my Allied Seawind and to stop it, I have to pull on what looks like a throttle cable that is threaded on the end (see pic). I'd like to find some sort of plunger to screw it into to mount in the cockpit, but I cant find any commercially available, any ideas??
