Mercury 9.9 Outboard Manual

I'm acquiring a Mercury 9.9 4-stroke (model# 1F10201FK). I'm trying to locate the proper manual. The ones I've found online talk about a F-N-R gear shift lever whereas this model has F-N-R built right into the throttle. I tried the Tohatsu 9.8 (supposedly the same engine) manual, but it also talks about the separate gear shift lever. I'd appreciate an assist in finding the right manual.

It's the top one on the page below. Apparently you have a 2006 model. It has the odd shift in the tiller.

Thank you. That’s good to know. Are you sure that only that model had the tiller throttle? Do you know until how recently did they sold the 2006 model or was it literally just that one year?

The current owner is trying to sell it as “a couple of years old”. I don’t think of 15 as “a couple”. Is he not being truthful?

My impression is that it was a short-lived attempt at improving the engineering, given that that appears to be the only manual that includes it. The seller may not even actually know how old it is, unless he bought it new.

I looked at some YouTube videos about this engine to see some examples. I this one, for example, at minute 2:11 you can clearly see that this 2020 model has the tiller gear shift.

So I guess "2006 Model" is the name of a product variant that's still in current production. I will check with the manufacturer to be sure.
