Monitoring fuel vacuum in cockpit

Hey all, so I don't tend to like to post all my videos, but this one specifically some people might find of value - especially if they have an untested fuel system, or might ever have any fueling issues. And I haven't seen any other videos that use this type of system of remote (in cockpit) fuel vacuum monitoring. It has worked great over the 1000+ miles we've sailed so far. If you wanted to make it perfect, I'm sure you could configure a guage (rather than a voltage reading w/ a chart) to work with the sender.
cheers.

In this video, I also wrap the aluminum tank in epoxy glass. I believe this will last a long time. So far, it's been a bit over a year, so we'll see.
cheers!
-P

Interesting video and approach. I’ve been looking at adding pressure sensor to my N2K network https://www.racorstore.com/aos-nema-...-handle-2.html

Re: Monitoring fuel vacuum in cockpit

Ah yes! that would be a great solution as well! I'm committed to open source so if I had infinite time I would probably send this voltage to Signal K and spit out a dashboard with a bunch of other measurements. However nmea 2000 would be great if you're set up for that. The main thing is that in my experience, especially with an older boat, I think that fuel vacuum is important and easy enough to have a gauge. Preferably in the cockpit
